"Dear Nick,
Thank you for a spectacular event
last night. The Choir and Stephen were outstanding and we all very much
enjoyed their performance. Will you please give a big thank-you to
Stephen – he has a fantastic voice and a warm personality to go with it.
Maurice as always is a top show man
and his enthusiasm for our hospice is contagious. He is proud of us and
we are equally honoured to have him as our Honorary Patron.
The
arrangements at the Kempinski Hotel were excellent. I was introduced to
the manager and young lady who have been so supportive to you.
Once again,
thank you, Stephen and the London Welsh Rugby Club Male Voice Choir, for
a wonderful night of entertainment and support to our Cudeca Hospice.

International Palliative Care Day 2009 Celebration
of “VOICES FOR HOSPICES”
The International Palliative Care Day consists of a
collective movement to celebrate and support the World Wide Palliative
Care movement. The act will take place this year on the 9th-10th October 2009. The Autumn Concert for Cudeca
on 9th October is proud to be part of the celebration of `Voices for
Hospices´ 2009.
On Friday 9th October at
9.30pm the luxurious Kempinski Hotel Bahia Estepona plays host to The Autumn Concert
in Aid of Cudeca, the two hour Charity Finale and highlight of the
famous London Welsh Rugby Club Male Voice Choirs´ Andalucía Concert Tour.
The Choirs varied and extensive repertoire comprises
songs of love & passion, songs from The Shows and Opera, as well as the
more traditional.
John Dawes,
President of the Choir, captained Wales 6 times, including the Grand
Slam win in 1971 and in the same year captained the first and only Lions
team to win the series in New Zealand, also captain of the Barbarians
side that beat New Zealand in Cardiff. He was coach for Wales for 5
years, the most successful period of Welsh rugby and included 2 Grand
Slam wins.
TheAutumn Concert
in Aid of Cudeca is staged in collaboration with
Welsh Choirs International.
The London Welsh Rugby ClubMale Voice is amongst the top award-winning Choirs
in the UK and is the 17th to tour Andalucía in as
many years andwhich continue to attract full-house audiences
wherever they perform throughout the region.
Tickets for this special charity event are just
€20.00 and will be on sale from 14th September
from various outlets includingBeccy´s, Monte
Duquesa; Christina´s Cards, Sabinillas; Glitterati Books, Benavista, The
Cudeca Shop´s Marbella & Estepona and TheHotel Kempinski.
Doors Open 8.30pm. Bar & Snacks will be available during the interval.
A Charity Raffle will also be held on the evening of the
Concert.
