Stephen Lloyd-Morgan is a professionally trained singer, having studied opera at the Welsh College of Music and Drama and Musical Theatre at the Mountview Academy of Performing Arts in London. He has since performed in a number of musicals and operas both in the UK and Ireland.

Since moving to Spain in 2007 Steve has gained widespread popularity and critical acclaim, especially for his after-dinner entertainment evenings and more recently his concert performances, which incorporate a wide ranging repertoire of Musical Theatre & Opera, including `Crossover´ & `Il Divo´ style Classics. He now has a dedicated following and these performances are often sold out.

The late renowned Music Impresario Victor O´Gilvie worked in the industry for over 30 years, and  organised Concerts for many top international artists along the Costa Del Sol, including BB King, Ray Charles, Gloria Gaynor, Paco de Lucía, Elton John and George Benson. Of Stephen Lloyd-Morgan, Victor wrote, "I have seen many talented singers during the years I’ve been involved in the Music Business, and surely Steve is one of the most talented performers to come through in this particular area (opera & musical theatre) in many years." - October 2008

Steve’s open and friendly face does not give away how hard he actually works, and how determined he is to succeed. A patriotic Welshman from the Rhondda Valley, South Wales, he is undeniably a born singer and entertainer.

Steve is a truly dedicated professional, evidently passionate about his art. He somehow manages to juggle his rehearsals and numerous performances with his full-time job with an investment bank in Gibraltar.

Those who have met Steve describe him as shy, quiet and extremely unassuming. It is therefore particularly surprising that this is the same person who sings such breathtakingly powerful songs.

Performing a handful of his repertoire in an evening would be an achievement for many, but to sing such demanding songs relentlessly in English, Spanish or Italian, almost without pause, sometimes for up to two hours, is remarkable.

Steve is a great supporter of various charities, and regularly dedicates his time and performances to the Cudeca Cancer Hospice, The Rhys Daniels Trust and to Diabetes Research amongst many others.

Stephen Lloyd-Morgan – `Music of the Night´ – La Duquesa Hotel Saturday 26th July 2008

“On 26th July Stephen Lloyd-Morgan performed at the 5-star La Duquesa Golf Hotel with an evening of Opera & Musical Theatre to a full-house of over 200 guests.  

Stephen´s powerful renditions of Puccini´s `Nessun Dorma´ and `Nella Fantasia´ from the film `The Mission´ were spine tingling.  

With confident ease he enchanted the audience with his extensive repertoire for over 2 hours, his vocal chords slipping effortlessly not only between Musical Theatre and Opera, but also between Italian, Spanish and English.

In the Operatic first half of the show Steve wore classic White Tie and Tails, in contrast in the second, his trade mark Black Dinner Suit, singing and dancing amongst the audience leaping from chair to chair, to the total astonishment of the Hotel Manager.  

The audience’s obvious delight and applause continued throughout Steve´s performance, the evening culminating with the classical duets `The Prayer´ and `Conti Partiro´ accompanied by the fabulous Miss Lydia Barrett.  

As a fun finale to round off the evening and with energy still abounding, Steve and Lydia performed Abba´s `Thank you for the Music´  

Immediately following Steve´s impressive performance, he was invited to open `The Summer Event 2008´ at The San Roque Club on Thursday 7th August, (www.thesummerevents.com) with a cross section of his repertoire!

His extensive repertoire includes songs from the musicals Chicago, Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, West Side Story and popular classics Nessun Dorma, Con Te Partiro, No Llores por Mi Argentina (Don´t Cry for Me Argentina), Notte Di Luce (Nights in White Satin) and A Mi Manera (My Way). May 23rd Steve is performing at The Manilva International Festival and on May 24th at Schooners Restaurant, where he will making a truly international contribution to the Festival with an evening dedicated to the classic entries and winners of The Eurovision Song Contests.

June 14th at Restaurante El Moscatel is `Back to Broadway´, celebrating the golden age of Broadway Musicals and including songs from shows such as Oklahoma, South Pacific and Carousel.

Stephen Lloyd-Morgan Música de la Noche el día 26 de Julio en La Duquesa Hotel.

"La Noche de 26 de Julio Stephen Lloyd-Morgan  realizó en el Hotel de 5 estrellas del Golf de La Duquesa una tarde de Opera y  Musical Teatro a una casa llena de más de 200 huéspedes.

Las interpretaciones poderosas de Puccini´s `Nessun Dorma´ y la Fantasía de `Nella´ que nos puso a todos los vellos de puntas.

Con facilidad seguirá él encantó la audiencia con su repertorio extenso durante más de 2 horas, sus acordes vocales que resbalan fácilmente no sólo entre el Teatro y la Opera Musicales, pero también entre italiano, español e inglés.

En la primera mitad Operística de la exposición Steve llevó Corbata y Colas Blancas clásicas, por contraste en el segundo, su marca de fábrica Traje Negro de Cena, cantando y bailando entre la audiencia que salta de la silla a la silla, al asombro total del Director de hotel.

La delicia obvia de la audiencia y el aplauso continuaron a través de Steve´, la tarde que culmina con la Oración clásica de dúos  de `Con Partiro´ acompañado de la Señorita fabulosa Lydia Barrett.

Cuando un final divertido redondea la tarde y con energía todavía abunda, Steve y Lydia realizaron Abba´s ` Gracias por la Música´
